Dubai - The largest all-cargo airline in United Arab Emirates, Maximus Air, entrusts PT GMF AeroAsia to perform its aircraft maintenance. It is implemented in the Letter of Cooperation signed by EVP of Corporate Development and Marketing PT GMF AeroAsia Agus Sulistyono and VP Commercial of Maximus Air, Mohamed Ali Parkar. The Letter of Cooperation was signed in the arena of Dubai Airshow 2011 on 17 November 2011. "This partnership further strengthens the position of GMF in the Middle East market," said Agus Sulistyono.
Cooperation agreement between GMF and Maximus includes Airbus A300 aircraft maintenance for Line Maintenance services, when Maximus A300 aircraft are operating in the area. According to Agus, GMF has the capability to maintain various types of aircraft, whether it is to transport passengers, aircraft charter, and cargo aircraft. This capability continues to be developed according to market developments with reference to the standards and procedures specified by the authority of local and international civil aviation. With the approval certificate from FAA and EASA, GMF can work on maintenance on Boeing and Airbus aircraft. "This capability we are developing from time to time as the development of aircraft technology," he said.
Maximus Air is one of the influential cargo airlines in the UAE and the surrounding region. Established in 2005 with a base operations in Abu Dhabi, Maximus Air has opened operations for the European market too with an office in the UK. The airline has been serving the diverse market for private, government, military, royal and VIP guests, and other sectors. Its operations is supported by the ownership of the cargo aircraft of various classes of aircraft manufacturers. Some cargo aircrafts operated by Maximus Air are Antonov AN-124-100, Airbus A300-6000RF and IL-76TD Llyushin.
Maximus Air, owned by the Abu Dhabi Aviation Group, has penetrated the markets of Asia, Africa and Europe besides the Middle East. Besides providing scheduled cargo flights, the airline also cooperates with other major airlines for operational support services.
Maximus Air, an Abu Dhabi Aviation Group company, was established in 2005 to provide tailored solutions for moving outsized cargo.  After operating for only just over six years in the region, it is now a significant regional air cargo carrier and cargo aircraft ACMI lease operator, employing more than 200 staff and operating a fleet of eight all-cargo aircraft comprising an Antonov An-124-100, Airbus A300-600RP2Fs and Ilyushin IL-76TD across the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.
Maximus Air currently runs regular scheduled cargo services on behalf of Etihad Crystal Cargo and is the appointed exclusive air relief support partner for the UAE Red Crescent.
