The Aviation Awards 2010 included a total of 15 categories in total, covering the airline, airport and cargo sectors, along with a variety of supporting niches. Since its inception in 2007, the Awards have emerged as a leading event for the Middle East aviation industry. Given the market challenges that face the industry, this year's event was the perfect opportunity to honour companies and individuals that have continued to achieve excellence on a daily basis.

Maximus won the CSR award for its groundbreaking work with 'Care by Air' the UAE humanitarian initiative that it launched last year with Etihad and Abu Dhabi Airports Company as partners. The initiative is innovative in that it offers a sustainable business model which donates cargo space at cost to relief organisations. The airline also received the accolade of Cargo Operator of the Year (charter). With an expanding fleet of eight all-cargo aircraft, the airline has recently expanded its services and will soon be adding more aircraft to meet the demands of its growing customer base.
