Momentum Supports United Nations with Air Cargo Lift for Helicopter Transfers

Momentum Solutions Urgent Response Team coordinated two cargo charters for the rotation of helicopters on behalf of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA)

Our Urgent Response heavy cargo specialists were in Africa earlier this month to coordinate and execute another contract with the United Nations. 

Momentum chartered an Antonov 124 cargo aircraft to operate between Tianjin, China and Entebbe, Uganda.  We loaded up two (2) Mi-17 helicopters with accompanying equipment in Tianjin and flew them to Entebbe on September 2, 2022.  These helicopters were brought in to relieve the two previously delivered Chinese contingent helicopters that had reached the end of their mandated mission.  Upon delivery to Entebbe, the new helicopters were quicly assembled and flew to Abyei area between Sudan and South Sudan to commence their support work and transports for UNISFA.  Momentum then delivered the previous equipment for overhaul in Chengdu, China on September 6th.  Total payload transported was approximately 25 tons on each flight. 

Another successfully executed heavy lift mission on the books! Hats off to the project leads on our United Nations team on a job well done.
