MAXIMUS AIR COLLECTS CSR AWARD FROM AIR CARGO WEEK 2012

Shanghai, China. 11 June 2012 - Maximus Air’s humanitarian efforts are increasingly being recognised by the wider global community, with the Abu Dhabi Aviation Group company, receiving this week a CSR Award from World Air Cargo during the Air Cargo China expo.

The company received the distinction from Simon Keeble, Air Cargo Editor, during an evening of networking and entertainment with Air freight luminaries at The Kerry Hotel Pudong in Shanghai.
Fathi Hilal Buhazza, President and CEO of Maximus Air, commented “We are delighted to receive recognition for our humanitarian efforts for the first time in Asia. We have always regarded Care by Air - the logistics-related humanitarian programme of which Maximus Air is a founding member – as a global initiative and we will be pleased to welcome new members from AsiaPac in order to enhance its effectiveness. ”
“We are particularly proud of this achievement, as it comes as a result of recognition from  loyal customers and partners who voted for us.” added Buhazza.
This is the latest in a long line of CSR Awards won by Maximus Air and Care by Air. Care by Air is an initiative from the UAE in line with the country’s reputation as a ‘giving nation‘, and has the full support of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who has called it a ‘Helping Hand from the UAE‘.  Our goal is to reduce the cost of logistics for aid organisations. It is based on the principle of making better use of empty air cargo space to carry qualifying humanitarian aid either ‘for free’ or ‘at cost’ (zero profit margin).
Maximus Air was participating for the first time in Asia’s most important event for the air cargo industry; Air Cargo China 2012 which brought together leading transport and logistics exhibitors looking to invest in new solutions and to propel the industry worldwide.
Maximus Air is seeking to increase its geographical footprint along with its business mix and regards the Asian market as key to its expansion plans.
